I think it was either 5th or 6th grade, my assignment was a book report, from a list of books that you can find at your local library, my parents made me do it using My book of bible stories, I didn't want to I was totally dreading turning it in, well when I told my teacher, she send home a note to my parents that it was an assignment, my parents went to the school and complained. So I did the crappist book report of my life.

Using School Assignments to Give a Witness
by Mysterious inanyone remember all the examples of youths being encouraged to work something about the jws into school assignments on abortion, evolution, volunteer work etc?
i remember cheekily ending an essay with "remember the theory of evolution is just that, a theory" in about 8th grade but that was about it.
i did just get a fantastic a grade mark on my philosophy paper on shoudl parents have the right to refuse life saving medical treatment for infants and children too young to decide for themselves.

Called my mother today
by Irish Rose insince leaving mom and i have not spoken very often, since i left in 2001. i ended up calling her today, because i have an uncle in texas where the flooding is at, and i lost his number.
he is doing ok, and their home did not get flooded.
it did come up to the porch, but then went down.

Got my invite to this year's Assembly finally
by NotaNess ini was wondering when 1 of them at work was gonna give me an invite.
i asked if it was about the "follow the christ" theme.
they said yes, and followed with..."savior".. i just left it with, "i've read about it online".. thanks to you all!.....

i had a steak yesterday, i like steak, and it had raw oysters in it.

Husbands cousin found dead in Sherman TX
by megsmomma inshe was only 24, and found dead yesterday.
there has been bad flooding there(people missing and others found dead).....so that may have been a factor, but they are doing an autopsy on her....does that mean there might have been foul play?
she had a troubled life, so we wouldn't rule out someone hurting her.

Were You Constantly Counseled By Elders & Others?
by minimus inwere you ever told by the elders or others in the congregation that you shouldn't engage in a certain thing because it would be inappropriate-----yet you did it anyway?.
sometimes, "mature" ones will tell an inexperienced witness what they should or should not do within their families.
certain sisters were adamant that a wife should leave her adulterous or abusive husband and if they didn't the victims were shunned by their counselors!

my parents cong, announced twice that I was bad association for the youth, before that they were always wanting to talk to me about the way I dress, my music, my worldly friends, my lack of disire to get baptized, or go out in service, study, Answer at kingdumb hall, My most favorite is when they had a meeting about me thinking about a sisters breasts!!! Get out of my mind!!
